Guest facilitators Paulina Erices and Barbara Deloian of Special Kids Special Care will be leading a webinar and discussion around strategies for lactation providers to advocate for families in the NICU.
Learning objectives:
- Describe the role of lactation professionals and supporters working with the family of a NICU graduate.
- Explain the parent-child relationship framework as a tool to support positive relationships in/for the breastfeeding dyad
- Explore strategies to promote self and community care for families who have experienced a NICU stay with their baby.
- Explore strategies to become family advocates in the NICU to help preserve the family unit and the relationship.
