The Social Justice Mediation Institute (SJMI) Training took off with a bang! The collaborative initiative by the Peer Advoacy Rountable , DSNI, the Medical Legal Partnership and DCT! A memorable moment was a partner noting that "I discovered that I have been mediating all my life! But, without the current designed structure. However, I embrace the concept and look forward to collaborating in the future!"
Participants learned life changing techniques that allow them to be mediators in their personal lives, as well as in the lives of others. Their varied backgrounds added to the quality of the training and they sucessfully commited the necessary time to gain skills in social justice mediation. Congratulations to our new communuty mediators!
